Our group, MCG, is comprised of and affiliated with experienced business developers and hospitality professionals including restaurant executives from five-star hotel properties, fine-dining to national casual restaurants, restaurant and foodservice architects and kitchen designers - all fully capable of implementing both advisory and hands-on consulting.
Prior to forming MCG, Management Consultant Group, L.L.C. Paul McGoey was well trained with years of operational management experience from the world-renowned Brennan Family of New Orleans, LA. After years as Operations Manager at Commander's Palace Restaurant, Paul developed and was General Manager of Palace Café, winner of Esquire Magazine's 1991 Best New Restaurant and Restaurant and Institutions Ivy Award. In 1997, Paul was named CEO and Managing Partner for Meals Solutions 1, Foodies Kitchen, a state of the art meals market, food emporium, and Artisan bakery located in New Orleans, Louisiana.
With over twenty years experience in both the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors of the foodservice industry, Paul formed MCG, Management Consultant Group, L.L.C. at the request of clients and contacts looking for a full service consulting firm to guide and assist them in maximizing their business potential.
Having worked with over 30 clients as a restaurant business consultant, Paul understands the driven focus necessary to move a business towards a structured, directional path to success.
Paul gets personally involved in all aspects of the consulting project, from initial assessment and conceptual development to strategic operational strategies and implementation.
He is a 1987 graduate of Louisiana State University. Paul is an active member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association and National Restaurant Association and a contributing writer to Industry Magazine.
In 2001, Mr. Stolberg joined MCG and Paul McGoey to expand and grow the consulting firm founded upon best practice business strategies highlighting a brand's execution of the "systems and processes." His MCG experience includes concept and business development, operational audits, marketing & sales, and even management recruitment and retention. Bernard expanded MCG's qualitative and quantitative reporting segments by over 300%, executing thousands of audit assignments and helping companies interpret and use data to drive the bottom-line and brand domination.
Prior to MCG, he has over 28 years of hospitality operational excellence and beyond. Mr. Stolberg's passion for operations and customer satisfaction in the hospitality industry provided a strong career path. Through the years, Bernard was instrumental in establishing company foundations, developing business plans and operations for hotels, restaurants, and even new cruise companies including RiverBarge's $24 million startup or the AWSC's $55 million dollar new vessel product launch. As a director and managing partner, he successfully delivered specialty niche and "boutique" hospitality products (various formats) while also keeping investors happy with solid returns.
Mr. Stolberg has consulted to numerous high caliber organizations including Hilton Hotels (brand family), Acme Oyster House, Wyndham Hotels, Ruths' Chris Steakhouse, Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, Interstate Hotels and Resorts, Decatur Hotels, Hillstone Restaurant Group (Houston's, Gulfstream, etc), Landry's Restaurants Inc., Raising Canes (2003 NRN Hot Concept), Dagwood's Sandwich Shoppe, American Orient Express, Majestic America Line, and many others.
Executive coordinator for company operations, Stacey possesses an unusual combination of organizational and creative skills. Having over 12 years experience in restaurant operations, she is aptly charged with providing liaison between service representatives and MCG and coordination of communication with clients of MCG. Project administration, scheduling and account management occupy the organizational side of Stacey's responsibilities. She also serves as the content coordinator of our Management Consultant Group website. Stacey is a native New Orleanian, and graduated from Holy Cross College in 1994 in Business Management.
